The founders of CrossPower Group bring a unique combination of leadership, skills, and insight together with decades of international professional business experience to provide clients with premier services.

Jake Slegers

Has extensive experience working with thousands of American and other international companies operating and investing in CEE. While formerly acting as Executive Director of the American Chamber of Commerce in the Slovak Republic, he consistently facilitated prospects for international companies seeking investment or export opportunities regionally, European-wide and globally.

As an American living for nearly 25 years in Slovakia, Jake is exceptionally well-established in the region and has also obtained Slovak citizenship. With strong interpersonal and leadership skills, he has acquired extensive personal contacts with local, governmental, institutional, and business-related agencies.  He is intimately familiar with the various legislative and regulatory issues that are on the forefront of importance for both domestic and foreign businesses, and the means to successfully navigate them.   

He has much to offer in facilitating business-related opportunities, all the while drawing on his extensive experience and rich contact base in the region, throughout Europe, and beyond. 

Pavol Kopečny

Couples solid business knowledge of the local market with supreme analytical and project management skills. He has successfully led complex projects from inception to operation. Pavol has the unique ability to “wear a client’s hat” and analyze their unique situation to deliver tailored solutions. He has performed extensive market research and analysis for foreign investors interested in expanding to the Central European region in various industries.

Pavol has extensive experience conducting cultural training for numerous expats relocating to Slovakia on how to more effectively manage people and organizations in Slovakia. He has also served as an advisor to the Slovak government on business and economic issues and has authored several important policy proposals for Slovakia‘s tax and social security systems. 

Pavol is one of the longest serving members of the Board of Directors of the American Chamber of Commerce in Slovakia, a business association of over 300 member companies.
